The Elite Stress Control System

Eight days. Ten minutes a day. The Systema way of taking stress out of your system before it takes over.

There are a lot of people who could benefit from Systema but are put off by the martial arts side of it. Stress control is the clearest example.

It's the most effective method I've come across. It works in a fight, and it works in a meeting, an exam, a hospital waiting room or a hard conversation at home.

The Elite Stress Control System is eight short videos, one a day, that teach you how.

How I came to it

Some years ago I met Vladimir Vasiliev in a forest in Canada. I'd just come through a hard time in business and, looking back, I'd had a panic attack without knowing what it was.

On the first day I was sat on a log by the lake. Vladimir was crossing a clearing, saw me, and came over to ask if I was ok. We didn't know each other. I said I was fine.

He said, "You look tense and stressed."

I had no idea. I didn't know stress was something you could see, let alone something I could control. That week changed the direction of my life, and what I learned there is still with me.

This is for you if

  • You feel anxious in everyday situations: groups, crowds, going out.
  • A stressful moment stays with you for hours or days after it's over.
  • Under pressure you can't think straight or order your thoughts.
  • You find it hard to bring your energy up or down when you need to.

What you get

One email a day for eight days, each with a video of 5 to 10 minutes. Each day builds on the one before.

  1. Day 1, Know yourself: measure your starting point, so you can see the change.
  2. Day 2, Self-awareness: catch stress early, the trickle before the flood.
  3. Day 3, Recovery: get back to calm, fast.
  4. Day 4, Breath control: simple exercises, done anytime, to master your most important tool.
  5. Day 5, Stress control in real time: four tools to use in the moment.
  6. Day 6, Tension: feel it and let it go, even the tension you never knew was there.
  7. Day 7, Testing: testing the tools so they hold under real pressure.
  8. Day 8, Calibrating: skills to read yourself, others and your surroundings, so you can act on instinct.

You can do it at home in ordinary clothes. No martial arts experience needed.

What people have said

"So far into day 4, I've noticed increased sensitivity and awareness in my body. I've become familiar with the feeling and the starting point of stress in my body... Whenever I start to feel my pressure rising in my chest, I immediately do a long exhale and burst breathe to relax it. Most of the exercises you mentioned are known to me, however I didn't really know how to use these tools effectively until I started the Elite Stress Program."

"The experience of both watching and doing the exercises gave me more than I expected. In a way it transformed the way I understand and experience stress, tension (both physically and mentally) and recovery."
